National Day Parade: A Historic 9 August
This year’s parade, themed “Majulah Singapura,” promises to be a spectacle of historic proportions. For the first time, the show will unfold simultaneously across both the Padang and Marina Bay, creating a city-wide celebration of light, sound, and movement.Key Highlights to Watch Out For:
- Parade & Ceremony: Witness the largest-ever assembly of marching contingents, including the Guard of Honour, the State Flag flypast, and a stunning 21-gun volley.
- Show Segments: From the nostalgic tunes of “Our People, Our Diversity” to the futuristic vision of “Our Future, Our Aspirations,” the show is a journey through Singapore’s story with performances by top local talents like Kit Chan, Charlie Lim, and more.
- Grand Finale: The celebration culminates in a majestic fireworks display over the Padang and a nationwide “Majulah Moment” where everyone sings the national anthem and recites the pledge together.

Marina Bay: The Waterfront Celebration Hub
If you’re not at the Padang, the Marina Bay area is the next best place to be on August 9th. The waterfront will be transformed into a vibrant festival zone with live broadcasts, interactive attractions, and carnival fun. Highlights include:- Live screenings at Merlion Park, Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza, and Esplanade Outdoor Theatre.
- A mobile floating stage and beautiful water floats.

The celebrations don’t stop on National Day itself! On Sunday, August 10, the fun moves to the heartlands with special family-friendly events and a spectacular fireworks display.
