“Queen Of Tears” replaced “Crash Landing On You” as the Most Watched TVN K-drama

"Queen of Tears" is now the most watched tvN K-drama. The final episode of "Queen of Tears", broadcasted on the evening of 28 April, 2024, achieved a viewership rating of 24.9 percent (source: Nielsen Korea). This figure exceeds the previous record set by another TVN drama "Crash Landing on You," which aired on February 16, 2020, and attained a rating of 21.7 percent.

Not only did they shatter Korean records they also top international streaming charts, claiming the top spot on Netflix’s Global TOP 10 Non-English series for the week of March 25 to 31, amassing a total viewership of 93.8 million hours. It secured a place in the top 10 in 68 countries, spanning the U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia, and India. 

Queen of Tears Finale Review

The final episode of “Queen Of Tears” captivated viewers with its unforeseen plot twists and dramatic events. In addition to delivering a satisfying conclusion to Hae-In and Hyun-Woo’s storyline, the final episode of “Queen Of Tears” also offers closure for every significant character in the series.

The episode had a runtime of nearly 2 hours, clocking in at 1 hour and 49 minutes. While much of the ending was predictable, it still managed to deliver additional drama, adding an exciting twist for viewers.

K-drama fans absolutely enjoyed the final episode reflected by the record breaking rating of the show. In my humble opinion the show did pretty well and here at Merry Bees we are actually looking forward to more K-dramas!
