What Happens on the Track?
The F1 cars are the main event, but there is racing action all three days!
- Friday (Practice Day): The F1 drivers go out in the evening to test their cars. They do two long sessions called Practice 1 and Practice 2. They learn the track and find the best speed for the race.
- Saturday (Qualifying Day): This is an important day! First, there is one more practice (Practice 3). Then, in the evening (Qualifying), the drivers race to get the fastest time. The fastest driver gets the best starting spot for Sunday’s race (the “Pole Position”).
- Sunday (Race Day): This is the big day! In the evening, the main FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX race starts at 8:00 PM local time. The drivers race for many laps (62 laps) to win!
More Racing!
Before the F1 cars, you can also see other races! We have the exciting F1 Academy (a race for female drivers) and the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. These cars are fast too, and they race on Saturday and Sunday!
