Nelson, affectionately known as ‘Bird,’ is a well-established figure in the music scene. Despite being proficient in various instruments like guitar, piano, harmonica, and drums, the singer-songwriter gravitated towards the bass guitar, his initial passion.
Nelson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Bass Guitar Performance from La Salle, graduating with First Class Honours in his cohort.
Regularly gracing the stages of mando/cantopop clubs such as Dragonfly, Beyond 97, and popular outlets like Beer Market, Hood Bar, and Acid Bar, Nelson has made a mark with his musical prowess. Notably, he was a semi-finalist in the first season of Singapore Idol, sharing the stage with renowned personalities like Sylvester Sim, Nat Ho, and Mathilda D’Silva.
