What is the FIBA Intercontinental Cup?
This is a big competition organized by FIBA, the world’s basketball body. It’s a chance to see top teams from different continents play against each other. This year, for the first time, teams from all six continents are here, which makes the tournament even more exciting.
The games will be played at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The Teams
There are six teams in the tournament, divided into two groups:
Group A:

Al Ahli Tripoli (Libya)

Unicaja (Spain) – They won the tournament last year, so they are back to try and win again

Utsunomiya Brex (Japan)
Group B:

Flamengo (Brazil)

Illawarra Hawks (Australia)

NBA G League United (USA)
The teams will play against the other teams in their group. The winners of each group will then play in the final game on September 21 to decide the champion.

The FIBA Intercontinental Cup is a great event for everyone. You can go to the games and see some amazing basketball. But there are also fun things to do outside of the games:

Fan Zone: This is a special area where you can play basketball games and take part in activities.

Meet legends: You might even get to meet some famous basketball players like Ronny Turiaf and Pero Antic, who are ambassadors for the event.

Free entry: On the first day of the tournament, September 18, you can enter for free to watch the games!
